Authorities in Chihuahua recovered a stolen vehicle after responding to reports of armed individuals along the highway between Ojinaga and Chihuahua city, officials said.
The Secretaría de Seguridad Pública del Estado de Chihuahua said it launched patrols and surveillance in the area following multiple reports of armed individuals.
During the operation, officers located and secured a 2026 Volkswagen reported stolen. The vehicle was turned over to the appropriate authorities for further investigation.
Patrols were extended to nearby communities, including Sacramento, Hormigas and Bella Vista, and remain ongoing, officials said.
