Marfa High School athlete Ayden Alvarez claimed the area championship in shot put with a throw of 50 feet, 9 inches, according to a post shared by Marfa Shorthorns.
Alvarez’s performance secured the top spot at the area meet and highlighted a strong showing in field events for the program. He also won the district title in discus, adding to his list of accomplishments this season.
