Marfa woman arrested after search warrant yields meth, paraphernalia, authorities say

A 47-year-old Marfa woman was arrested after law enforcement officers executed a search warrant at an apartment complex in the city and seized methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, according to the Presidio County Sheriff’s Office.

Presidio County sheriff’s deputies, working in coordination with the Marfa Police Department, carried out the warrant at the Villa Apartments on Golf Course Road as part of an ongoing investigation into suspected drug activity, officials said.

During the search, officers “thoroughly searched the premises,” resulting in the seizure of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, authorities said. Leslie Thompson, 47, of Marfa, was taken into custody.

Officials said the investigation remains active and additional details will be released as they become available.

The Presidio County Sheriff’s Office and Marfa Police Department said they remain committed to addressing illegal drug activity and ensuring community safety.
