Alpine High School’s One-Act Play program will present Blood Wedding on April 22 after a standout run in University Interscholastic League competition.
The AHS cast and crew reached the UIL Area Round this season, placing the program among the top 48 in the state — a level the school has not achieved in eight years.
The production, a romantic tragedy by Federico García Lorca, will be performed at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Alpine ISD Administration Building Auditorium, 704 W. Sul Ross Ave. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and admission is free.
School officials said students have dedicated months of work to the performance, which reflects a full season of preparation and competition.
The community is invited to attend and support the students as they take the stage ahead of the next round of UIL competition.
