The Marathon Public Library will host its MPL Discovery Summer Camp from June 8–19, offering a range of educational and creative activities for students from prekindergarten through eighth grade.
The camp will run Monday through Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. and will feature three themed programs: art instruction led by Eileen Hogue, a STEM-focused “Camp Curiosity” led by Peyton Smith, and a summer reading program led by Dara Cavness.
Library officials said the camp is designed to encourage creativity, curiosity and literacy in a structured, hands-on environment during the summer months.
Participation is open to students in PK4 through eighth grade. PK4 eligibility applies to children who turn 4 years old by Sept. 1, 2025.
Registration is required, with enrollment open from April 15 through May 1. Additional information and registration details are available at marathonpubliclibrary.org, by phone at 432-386-4136, or by email at marathonpubliclibrary@gmail.com.
Organizers encourage early registration due to limited space.
