Jeff Davis County commissioners are set to consider budget amendments related to library staffing that would increase county payroll by more than $2,600 during their April 14 meeting.
One proposal would fund hiring a new certified librarian, increasing payroll by $1,485. A second item would provide additional funding for a librarian to remain and train the new hire, increasing payroll by another $1,154.
Both items are listed for discussion and possible action as part of the court’s general business.
