The 30th Annual Cinco de Mayo Fiesta is scheduled for May 1-2 on Historic Murphy Street in Alpine, featuring two days of live music, cultural performances, food vendors and community events.
Festivities begin Friday, May 1, with the Grand Mercado opening at 11 a.m. The day’s entertainment includes DJ Brian Portillo at 3 p.m., vocalist Roxy Cabello at 7 p.m., and Rick Ruiz and A Few Too Many closing out the evening at 8 p.m.
Saturday’s lineup starts with a parade at 11 a.m. along Holland Avenue, led by Grand Marshal Manuel Natera and accompanied by DJ Brian Portillo. A bike and car show will run from noon to 6 p.m.
Cultural performances throughout the afternoon include Mariachi Santa Cruz at 1 p.m., Nueva Generación de Terlingua at 2 p.m., Presidio ISD Ballet Folklórico at 2:30 p.m., and Los Diablitos Azules of Presidio High School at 3:30 p.m. Sponsorship recognition and awards are set for 4:30 p.m.
Evening performances include Christopher Seymore at 5 p.m., Dylan Earl at 6:30 p.m., The Texicans Band at 8 p.m., and a headline performance by Ricardo Castillon y La Diferencia at 10 p.m.
