The Prowlers delivered a dominant performance on Senior Night, defeating the Pecos Eagles 14-4 behind a powerful offensive showing and strong pitching.
The Prowlers tallied 11 hits and drew eight walks, capitalizing early and often to take control of the game. Bailey Roberts led the offense with four RBIs on two hits, including a two-run double in the second inning and a two-run single in the third.
Rita Rodriguez sparked the scoring in the first inning with a two-run triple, while Gabby Madrid went 3-for-4 with an RBI. Jocelynn Arcides and Havyn Gaytan each contributed multi-hit performances, and Bella Espino reached base consistently, drawing four walks.
In the circle, Sofia Garcia started for the Prowlers and recorded four strikeouts over nearly four innings. Madrid closed the game in relief, throwing 1 1/3 innings of hitless, scoreless softball to secure the win.
The victory marked a strong showing for the team’s seniors, celebrated before the home crowd.
In junior varsity action, the Prowlers and Pecos played to a 6-6 tie. Camila Nieto highlighted the game with her first career home run.
The Prowlers are scheduled to face Andrews at home Friday in a matchup for the top spot in the district. Varsity is set to begin at 5 p.m., with junior varsity to follow.
