A night of high-speed competition is set for May 2 in Presidio, where Presidio Drag Racing will host a bracket racing event featuring cash prizes, evening races and activities for spectators and drivers.
According to event organizers, gates will open at 5 p.m., with races scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. at the track located at 16333 FM 170.
The event will feature heads-up bracket racing, with prize payouts of $2,500 for first place, $500 for second and $100 for third.
Admission is set at $10 for spectators, while children under 10 will be admitted free. Entry for racers is $100, with a $40 buyback option available for the first and second rounds.
The event is organized by Presidio Drag Racing, which operates a track that hosts drag racing and related activities in the region.
Organizers encourage community members and visitors to attend for an evening of racing under the lights as the track continues to host events aimed at growing motorsports participation in the area.
