Agents with the U.S. Border Patrol Big Bend Sector seized more than 1,000 pounds of THC oil during a traffic stop at the Sierra Blanca checkpoint, authorities said.
According to a social media post from the agency, Border Patrol agents, working alongside a K-9 unit, discovered the THC oil concealed inside a trailer during an inspection. Officials said the driver, identified as a U.S. citizen, was allegedly attempting to smuggle the substance through the checkpoint.
Authorities described the seizure as a significant interdiction effort and credited agents and the K-9 team for uncovering the hidden narcotics.
No additional details about the suspect or potential charges were immediately released.
