Texas Parks and Wildlife hiring maintenance specialist at Indian Lodge in Fort Davis

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is accepting applications for a full-time Maintenance Specialist III position at the Indian Lodge complex in Davis Mountains State Park.

According to the job posting, the role involves complex building maintenance and construction work, including repairs and preventative maintenance on park facilities, equipment, vehicles and grounds. The position also includes operating machinery such as trucks, tractors and power tools, assisting visitors and supporting resource management efforts.

The position is based at the Indian Lodge and Black Bear Restaurant along Highway 118 North and requires a 40-hour workweek with varying schedules that may include weekends, holidays, on-call duties and emergency response.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and at least three years of experience in facility, equipment or grounds maintenance. A valid driver’s license is also required.

The position offers a monthly salary of $3,920.64 and includes state benefits such as insurance, retirement plans and paid time off.

The job posting was listed Feb. 19 and is scheduled to close April 2.
