Texas Parks and Wildlife hiring senior custodian at Balmorhea State Park

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is seeking applicants for a full-time Custodian III position at Balmorhea State Park.

According to the job posting, the role involves senior-level custodial and housekeeping duties at the San Solomon Springs Motor Court, including cleaning guest rooms, public areas and storage spaces, performing laundry tasks and maintaining park grounds for cleanliness. The position also includes monitoring inventory and assisting with basic facilities and grounds maintenance.

The position is based at Balmorhea State Park along Texas Highway 17 and requires a 40-hour workweek with varying schedules that may include weekends, holidays and nontraditional hours.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience in cleaning, housekeeping or custodial work. A valid driver’s license is required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment.

The position offers a monthly salary of $3,458.99 and includes state benefits such as insurance, retirement plans and paid time off.
