Presidio Drag Racing event set for May 2 at FM 170 strip

A night of bracket racing is set to return to the local drag strip in Presidio on May 2, with organizers inviting racers and spectators to take part in the action.

The event will be held at the Presidio International drag strip, located at 16333 FM 170. Gates are scheduled to open at 5 p.m., with races beginning at 6:30 p.m., according to event organizers.

Spectator admission is $10, while children under 10 will be admitted free. Entry for racers is $100, with an optional $40 buyback available for the first and second rounds.

Organizers described the event as a bracket racing format, with the track lights on and conditions expected to be ready for competition.

The event is open to the public, with attendees encouraged to arrive early ahead of race start times.
