Fort Davis Historical Society to host Albert Miller talk April 7

The Fort Davis Historical Society will present a program featuring rancher Albert Miller at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, at the Overland Trail Museum.

Miller, a longtime rancher, has served as a fire chief and county commissioner and is a descendant of families connected to several historic regional institutions, including the Limpia Hotel, Union Trading Company and the Fort Davis State Bank.

According to event organizers, Miller will also discuss his role as a caretaker of pronghorn antelope herds and his experience with the rare aplomado falcon population between Valentine and the Sierra Vieja Mountains.

The program will be held at the museum, located at 511 N. Fort St., near Sleeping Lion Mountain.

The event is free and open to the public.
