A new resale shop has opened just north of downtown Fort Davis, bringing new life to a familiar roadside storefront.
Limpia Creek Trading Post is now operating at 1400 State St., the former location of Rattlers and Reptiles, a small museum that had long attracted visitors before its closure.
The shop occupies the same adobe-style building along the highway north of town and has been updated with new signage reflecting its new identity. An “open” sign in the front window indicates the business is now welcoming customers.
Rattlers and Reptiles was known for its displays of West Texas snakes and reptiles, but recent listings showed the attraction had permanently closed. The opening of Limpia Creek Trading Post marks a transition to a resale retail concept at the site as activity continues to evolve along the corridor north of Fort Davis.
