Students from Fort Davis Independent School District spent a day exploring the dunes at Monahans Sandhills State Park, school officials said in a recent social media post.
The middle school outing included climbing and sliding down the park’s expansive sand dunes while taking in West Texas scenery. Photos shared by the district show students using sleds and walking across the rolling sand landscape.
School officials described the trip as a fun, hands-on outdoor experience for students, highlighting both recreation and exposure to the region’s natural environment.
