Authorities in West Texas are asking for the public’s help in locating Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès, a French national suspected of killing his wife, four children and two family dogs in 2011 before disappearing.
The Brewster County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday shared photos of de Ligonnès and said it is seeking information about his possible whereabouts. Officials did not confirm any verified sighting in the region but indicated the outreach is part of an effort to determine whether the long-missing suspect could be in West Texas.
De Ligonnès vanished after the killings in Nantes, France, in a case that has drawn international attention for more than a decade. Investigators have long considered him the primary suspect, but he has never been found.
Authorities noted that the photos released are approximately 15 years old, dating to around the time of his disappearance.
The sheriff’s office urged anyone with information to contact the Brewster County Sheriff’s Office at 432-837-3488 or call 911.
