Members of the Alpine High School golf team recently took to the course after sunset for a glow-in-the-dark round, combining daylight play with a nighttime experience under the stars.
According to a social media post from Alpine ISD, the team played nine holes during daylight before continuing with seven holes at night using illuminated equipment.
Coach Gomez described the outing as a memorable experience for the players.
“It was a great experience they will always remember,” Gomez said in the post.
The district thanked Alpine Country Club for hosting the event and allowing the team to use the course for the unique nighttime round. School officials said the glow-in-the-dark format made for an enjoyable team activity and a different way to experience the game.
