Texas Tech Health Sciences Center to Host Fort Davis Health Fair on March 17

The Frontera de Salud program at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center will host a community health fair in Fort Davis later this month, offering free or low-cost screenings and wellness services to residents of Jeff Davis County and surrounding communities.

The Fort Davis Health Fair is scheduled for March 17 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Jeff Davis County Community Center, located at 601 Cemetery Road.

Organizers say the event will provide a variety of preventive health services designed to help residents monitor and improve their overall well-being. Services planned for the fair include blood pressure checks, glucose screenings, school physicals, women’s health exams, ultrasounds, electrocardiograms (EKGs), STD testing and general wellness checkups.

The health fair is part of outreach efforts by the Frontera de Salud initiative at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, which focuses on improving access to health care and preventive services in rural and border communities across West Texas.

Community members are encouraged to attend and take advantage of the screenings and health information available during the event. Additional information about the program can be found on the Frontera de Salud page associated with the university’s health sciences center.

The event is open to the public.
