Authorities said agents encountered a convicted felon during a checkpoint inspection and discovered approximately 19.8 grams of marijuana, 168.5 grams of THC oil, a handgun, and 49 rounds of ammunition. Officials noted the individual had previously served a prison sentence related to online solicitation of a minor.

Border Patrol stated the arrest is part of ongoing efforts to interdict illegal drugs and weapons while identifying individuals prohibited from possessing firearms.
