Van Horn Officials Ask Residents to Conserve Water During Well Testing

Town officials are asking residents to conserve water over the next several days as crews work to bring a newly renovated municipal well fully online.

The Town of Van Horn announced that the City Council and the Van Horn Economic Development Corporation (EDC) have completed the first of several planned water infrastructure improvement projects — a full renovation of the Thrift Well.

According to the notice, water utilities personnel will be flushing and testing lines in the coming days to ensure the well is operating properly. During this period, residents are encouraged to limit water use whenever possible.

Officials said the project is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen local infrastructure and improve long-term water reliability for the community.

The town thanked residents for their cooperation and support as the improvements are finalized.
