FBI Offers $25,000 Reward for Information in Killing of Presidio Resident Alan Valenzuela

Federal investigators are seeking public assistance in the killing of a Presidio man who was shot and killed last year while returning to the United States from Mexico.

According to the FBI, a reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to the identification, arrest, and prosecution of those responsible for the death of Alan Valenzuela, a United States citizen from Presidio, Texas.

Authorities said Valenzuela was shot and killed July 6, 2025, while inside a vehicle as he was returning from Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico, toward the United States.

The case remains under investigation, and federal officials are asking anyone with knowledge about the incident or those involved to come forward.

Information can be submitted through the FBI by visiting the agency’s website or contacting local law enforcement. Officials note that tips may be provided confidentially.

The announcement was recently shared by the City of Presidio to help raise awareness in the local community, where Valenzuela was known.
