U.S. Rep. Colin Allred has endorsed fellow Democrat Jasmine Crockett in her campaign for the U.S. Senate, urging supporters to contribute to both candidates through a joint fundraising effort.
In a message to supporters, Allred announced his endorsement and encouraged donors to make a split contribution benefiting Crockett’s Senate campaign and his own race in Texas’ 33rd Congressional District.
“I am officially endorsing Jasmine Crockett for the U.S. Senate in Texas,” Allred wrote. “Will you join me by making a split donation between her campaign and my race for TX-33?”
He noted that supporters who have saved payment information through ActBlue can contribute to both campaigns at once.
“If you’ve saved payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will be split evenly between Colin Allred and Jasmine Crockett,” the message said.
Allred praised Crockett’s leadership and political approach, calling her “the real deal.”
“She tells the truth, takes on tough fights, and never backs down when Trump and his cronies try to attack our communities and threaten our rights,” Allred wrote.
He said Republicans are concerned about her growing influence, writing, “The GOP is already terrified of her voice and her power because they know exactly what she would bring to the United States Senate: courage, clarity, and leadership that can’t be bought or bullied.”
Allred also emphasized the historic significance of Crockett’s candidacy.
“And here’s something that matters deeply to me and to our state: Jasmine has the chance to become the first Black U.S. Senator from Texas,” he wrote.
Crockett, who represents Texas’ 30th Congressional District, has become a prominent national figure within the Democratic Party and a frequent critic of former President Donald Trump and Republican leadership.
The endorsement comes as Democrats work to consolidate support ahead of what is expected to be a competitive Senate race in Texas, where Republicans currently hold both seats.
The joint fundraising appeal reflects an early effort to strengthen financial backing and voter outreach for both campaigns.
