Marfa ISD to Host Career Day and Expo on March 18

Marfa Independent School District will host its 2026 Career Day and Expo on March 18, giving students an opportunity to learn about a wide range of career paths and professional fields.

The event is being presented in partnership with the Marfa Education Foundation and will take place on the district’s junior and senior high school campus.

Organizers are currently seeking guest speakers and presenters from the community and surrounding region. Professionals from business, healthcare, public service, trades, education, and other industries are encouraged to participate and share their experiences with students.

Career Day is designed to help students explore future employment and education options, build connections with local and regional employers, and gain insight into workforce opportunities in West Texas and beyond.

“This event gives students direct access to people who are working in the careers they may one day pursue,” organizers said. “It helps make future goals feel more real and attainable.”

Those interested in serving as a guest speaker or presenter may contact the district at 432-729-5500 or by email at ilojeda@marfaisd.com.

The annual event is part of ongoing efforts by Marfa ISD and its partners to promote college, career, and workforce readiness for students in Marfa, Texas.

Additional details about the schedule and participating organizations are expected to be released closer to the event date.
