Alpine Animal Services is highlighting Lassie, a longtime shelter resident who is now ready to find a permanent home.
In a post shared today, the shelter encouraged the community to come meet Lassie at its facility on Old Marathon Highway. According to staff, Lassie has been at the shelter for nearly two years and is eager for a fresh start with a loving family.
The Valentine-themed spotlight describes Lassie as shy at first, but affectionate once she gets to know people. Shelter officials say she would make a loyal companion for someone willing to give her time and patience.
Lassie is currently available for adoption at the shelter in Alpine. Community members interested in meeting her are encouraged to visit in person and learn more about the adoption process.
Animal Services staff hope the special campaign will help Lassie and other long-term residents find the homes they deserve.
