Coffee With Law Enforcement Event Scheduled in Presidio

Residents will have an opportunity to meet and speak with local, state and federal officers during a “Coffee with Law Enforcement” event scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 3.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at The Bean Cafe and is open to the public.

Organizers say the informal gathering is designed to encourage conversation between community members and area law enforcement agencies in a relaxed, welcoming setting. Attendees will be able to share concerns, ask questions and learn more about local public safety efforts over coffee.

Participating agencies are expected to include local police, county and state law enforcement, and representatives from U.S. Border Patrol and other federal partners.

“Coffee with Law Enforcement” events are part of a broader effort nationwide to strengthen trust and communication between officers and the communities they serve. By meeting outside of formal settings, organizers hope to promote transparency and mutual understanding.

Community leaders say such events are especially important in border communities, where residents often interact with multiple law enforcement agencies and face unique public safety challenges.

There is no cost to attend, and no registration is required.
