Marfa Independent School District will hold a districtwide Open House on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2026, welcoming families of elementary, junior high and high school students to campus for an evening focused on classrooms, communication and community.
The event will include classroom visits, giving parents and guardians the opportunity to see their child’s learning environment, meet teachers and, if desired, schedule future conferences.
Marfa ISD will also present a School Progress & Initiatives Update, highlighting district goals and priorities. The update will be delivered by Superintendent Arturo Alferez.
A parent raffle will be held during the open house, featuring five $20 Visa gift cards. Entry is free, but participants must be present to win.
Official start times for classroom visits and presentations will be distributed through the district’s Thrillshare messaging system.
District officials encouraged families to attend and stay engaged with their schools, noting the event is designed to strengthen connections between students, educators and the broader Marfa community.
