Hurts Donut is rolling into Alpine this Friday, Jan. 30, with its brightly wrapped Emergency Donut Vehicle for a one-day pop-up sale.
According to the company’s announcement, the truck will begin serving at 11 a.m. and continue until items sell out. The pop-up will be located in the empty lot next to Sonic at 602 E. Holland Ave.
Hurts Donut said the amount of product brought to Alpine will depend on community engagement, encouraging residents to share the announcement on social media. “The more shares we get, the more donuts we will bring,” the post states.
The menu is expected to include a wide selection of the company’s oversized and novelty items, including Double Stuff Long Johns, massive fritters, maple bacon bars, jumbo cookies, and dozens of its most popular donuts. Several varieties of large cinnamon rolls will also be available, along with chocolate-covered strawberry donuts.
Hurts Donut described the event as “the Black Friday of donuts,” noting that some popular items may be in limited supply and recommending customers line up early.
Customers seeking gluten-free or dairy-free options must pre-order by 3 p.m. Thursday by texting (915) 222-9222. These allergy-friendly items will not be available for walk-up purchase.
Payment methods will include cash and card. The company also joked it would accept “cute puppies,” though no official exchange rate was provided.
The pop-up marks a rare visit by the El Paso-based donut company to Alpine and is expected to draw a crowd for its short, sell-out-style appearance.
