Fort Davis ISD students posted a strong showing at the District 9A Cross Examination contest, taking the top two spots and earning advancement to the UIL State Debate Tournament.
Doug Comer and Elsa Damm finished first place, while Abbey Corbin and Miranda Hernandez earned second place, according to the district. Damm also received the Top Speaker Award.
With both teams qualifying, Fort Davis will send two cross-examination pairs to the UIL State Debate Tournament, marking a standout result for the district’s academic competition program.
