A hit-and-run crash in Crane County left one man dead Tuesday night, and authorities are asking the public for help as the investigation continues.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred on January 6, 2026, at approximately 10:20 p.m. near State Highway 329 at mile marker 250. The collision involved a Kia Soul and a second vehicle believed to be a sand hauler.
The driver of the Kia Soul, John Mathew Bryant, 42, of Imperial, Texas, was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities say the second vehicle involved in the crash fled the area before law enforcement arrived.
