Students returned to Fort Stockton High School this week with a renewed focus on connection, reflection, and personal growth. On the first day of the Spring semester, students took part in a series of activities designed to build trust, foster teamwork, and set a positive tone for the months ahead.
As part of the day’s programming:
- Students collaborated to create social contracts, setting shared expectations and norms for respectful, supportive classroom environments.
- Each student identified one area of personal improvement they want to focus on this term, reinforcing goal-setting and self-reflection.
- Team-building exercises were held to strengthen peer relationships and reinforce the campus’s commitment to safety and inclusion.
“These opening day experiences help lay the foundation for a successful semester, both academically and emotionally,” school officials said in a post on social media. “We’re proud of the work our students are doing to support one another and grow together.”
The Spring term is off to a strong start as Fort Stockton High School continues its commitment to student-centered education and a safe, connected school culture.
