Presidio ISD will host a free baseball and softball camp for middle school and high school student-athletes later this month, offering skill development, instruction, and meals at no cost to participants.
The camp will be held over two days at the PHS Baseball Field, with separate sessions scheduled for high school and middle school players.
The session for Presidio High School baseball and softball players in grades 9–12 is set for Saturday, Jan. 17, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. A second session for Lucy R. Fraire Middle School (LRFMS) players in grades 6–8 will take place Sunday, Jan. 18, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., at the same location.
According to organizers, the camp is completely free, and all participants will receive a T-shirt and baseball-related items. Lunch will be provided on Saturday, and dinner will be provided on Sunday at no cost.
Students interested in participating must complete a registration form and submit it to Edith Bustamante at Presidio High School or Coach David Montemayor at LRFMS to reserve a spot.
School officials said the camp is designed to support player development while ensuring access for all students, regardless of financial circumstances.
