The interior of Big Bend Ranch State Park will be temporarily closed through Thursday, Jan. 8, at 2 p.m. for a scheduled wildlife management hunt, park officials announced.
According to the park, the temporary closure applies only to the park’s interior areas. River Road, Barton Warnock Visitor Center, and Fort Leaton State Historic Site will remain open with normal business hours throughout the closure period.
Texas Parks and Wildlife Department conducts periodic wildlife management hunts as part of ongoing conservation efforts aimed at maintaining healthy wildlife populations and protecting park ecosystems.
Visitors planning trips to Big Bend Ranch State Park during the closure window are encouraged to adjust itineraries accordingly and verify access points before traveling.
