Alpine ISD Lady Bucks Break Multiple Program Records Ahead of District Play

As Alpine High School prepares to enter district competition, two Lady Bucks have already etched their names into the program’s record books.

Alpine ISD announced that sophomore Gyllian Morrissey and junior Colette Fowlkes each broke multiple school records during the 2024–25 girls basketball season, marking a standout start to the year for the Varsity Lady Bucks.

Morrissey set new program marks with 129 steals during the 2024–25 season and 52 free throws made, establishing herself as one of the team’s most disruptive defenders and consistent scorers at the line.

Fowlkes also posted record-breaking numbers, finishing the season with a 46.3 percent field goal percentage, 46 total blocks, and eight blocks in a single game, underscoring her impact on both ends of the court.

In a social media post recognizing the achievements, Alpine ISD said the district is “extremely proud” of both athletes and looks forward to watching them continue to develop as district play begins.

The Lady Bucks enter the next phase of the season carrying momentum from the record-setting performances, with Morrissey and Fowlkes expected to play key roles as the team faces district competition.
