The City of Fort Stockton is offering holiday roll-off containers for residents to dispose of live Christmas trees during the holiday season, according to the city’s Public Works Department.
The containers are intended only for live Christmas trees, and residents are asked to remove all ornaments, tinsel, lights and decorations before disposal. Household trash and food waste are not permitted in the containers.
Roll-off containers will be available at the following locations:
Gene Cummings Park, 1604 Spur 194, from Tuesday, Dec. 30 through Monday, Jan. 5 Fort Stockton High School parking lot (off 17th Street), from Tuesday, Dec. 30 through Saturday, Jan. 3
City officials said the service is designed to reduce excess holiday waste and help keep the community clean.
