Museum of the Big Bend to Host Free Santa Event and Holiday Activities

Families are invited to celebrate the holiday season at the Museum of the Big Bend with a free, family-friendly event featuring Santa Claus, complimentary hot chocolate, and holiday shopping discounts.

The museum will host Santa’s Museum Mix & Mingle on Saturday, Dec. 20, from 12 to 2 p.m. at the Cultural Events Center on the Sul Ross State University campus. Children will have the opportunity to meet Santa Claus, take festive photos, and share their Christmas wishes.

In addition to the Santa visit, attendees can enjoy a complimentary hot chocolate bar, provided by Sky Island Culinary, offering a variety of toppings and flavors designed to create a cozy holiday experience.

The museum is also offering a 25% discount on all gift shop merchandise from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., giving visitors an opportunity to shop locally for unique gifts while supporting the museum.

The event is free and open to all ages, and museum staff encourage families from across the Big Bend region to attend.

The Museum of the Big Bend is located on the Sul Ross State University campus in Alpine and regularly hosts educational and cultural programming for the community throughout the year.
