Alpine Junior Bucks to Host Free Basketball Showcase and Camp for Local Youth

Alpine Junior Bucks (AJB) Basketball will host a free Basketball Showcase and Camp on Thursday, Dec. 18, at the Alpine Middle School Gymnasium, offering young players an opportunity to develop skills, showcase their abilities, and prepare for the upcoming 2026 season.

The event is open to students registered for AJB Basketball and will be coached by members of the Alpine Fightin’ Buck coaching staff. In addition to on-court instruction, the showcase will allow AJB coaches to evaluate players ahead of team drafts for the next season.

The evening will be divided by age groups:

5:00–5:40 p.m. — 1st & 2nd Grade (CoEd) 5:40–6:20 p.m. — 3rd & 4th Grade Girls & Boys (separate sides of the gym) 6:20–7:00 p.m. — 5th & 6th Grade Girls & Boys (separate sides of the gym)

Following each session, AJB head coaches will remain on site to conduct team drafts for the 2026 season. Draft times are scheduled immediately after each age group’s showcase.

Organizers noted that attendance is encouraged but not required. Players who are unable to attend will still be drafted to a team.

The showcase is designed to provide a fun, inclusive environment while helping young athletes build confidence, improve fundamentals, and connect with coaches ahead of the season.

The event will take place at Alpine Middle School, and participation is free for registered AJB players.
