Mexican Consulate, Big Bend Conservation Alliance Host Cross-Border Bicycle Event

The Consulate of Mexico in Presidio marked the final bicycle event of 2025 on Saturday, Dec. 13, hosting a community ride in partnership with the Big Bend Conservation Alliance, according to a post shared by the consulate.

The event brought together participants from the region for an outdoor activity emphasizing community, conservation, and cross-border cooperation. Photos shared by the consulate show riders of different ages participating in the event near Presidio and Ojinaga.

In its statement, the consulate said it “shared very pleasant moments” with participants and confirmed that additional activities are planned for 2026.

The consulate also thanked everyone who took part in the ride, highlighting continued collaboration with local and regional organizations focused on environmental stewardship and community engagement in the border region.

The Presidio consulate regularly partners with nonprofit and conservation groups on cultural, environmental, and wellness-focused initiatives that bring together communities on both sides of the U.S.–Mexico border.
