The Fort Davis Education Foundation is making a final push for year-end donations, highlighting how community support directly benefits teachers and students across the Fort Davis Independent School District.
The Foundation awards three cycles of grants each academic year, allowing teachers to purchase equipment and classroom materials that fall outside the district budget. Past grants have funded improvements such as new stage lighting for the high school auditorium, costumes for the Ballet Folklorico dance group, smart boards in every classroom, supplies for the 4-H program, and educational field trips.
In addition to classroom grants, the Foundation provides scholarships of up to $4,000 for every Fort Davis graduating senior pursuing college, trade school, or certificate programs. Recent donations have also supported upgrades to the elementary school play area.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all contributions are tax-deductible. Community members can donate by mail or online.
