Mexican Fiestas Exhibition Opens at Jeff Davis County Library

The Jeff Davis County Library will host Mexican Fiestas, a photography exhibition by acclaimed Houston photographer Geoff Winningham, from November 3 through December 12, 2025.

Presented by Humanities Texas in collaboration with Winningham, Mexican Fiestas offers a vivid chronicle of Mexico’s historic and diverse festival traditions — from Día de los Muertos processions to fireworks-lit celebrations in towns such as San Miguel de Allende.

Winningham’s photographs capture the color, movement, and emotion of these gatherings, illuminating how generations of communities come together through art, music, dance, and faith. His work has been widely exhibited across Texas and beyond, celebrated for its ability to merge documentary photography with cultural storytelling.
