Sul Ross Volleyball Players Inspire Alpine Elementary Students with Lessons in Leadership

Students at Alpine Elementary got a special visit this week from Sul Ross State University volleyball standouts Breanna Quarles and Libby Foster, who joined the school’s Capturing Kids’ Hearts (CKH) Monday Morning Meeting to share lessons on self-direction and goal-setting.

Breanna and Libby spoke to students about the importance of staying focused, making good choices, and taking ownership of their actions. The two also led the elementary students in several CKH Self-Direction cheers, adding energy and encouragement to the morning.

“We’re so grateful to our outstanding SRSU student-athletes for mentoring our Alpine ISD students,” the district said in a statement.

Both athletes are known not only for their skills on the court but also for their commitment to serving as role models in the community. As Alpine ISD noted, Breanna and Libby are helping inspire the next generation of college-bound students — one cheer at a time.
