Monahans to Celebrate “Christmas in the Dunes” with Parade and Ice Skating Extravaganza

The annual “Christmas in the Dunes” celebration returns to the Ward County Event Center on Friday, Dec. 5, and Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, bringing a full weekend of holiday festivities to the community.

This year’s theme, “Merry Christmas, America,” will highlight a patriotic spirit throughout the events, including a themed lighted Christmas parade scheduled for Friday, Dec. 5, at 6 p.m. Following the parade, the celebration continues at the Ward County Event Center with activities lasting until 9:30 p.m.

The two-day event will feature an ice skating extravaganza both days, along with live stage performances, vendors, children’s activities, a balloon artist, and a visit from the Grinch.

The celebration is organized as part of Monahans’ annual effort to bring residents and visitors together to enjoy the holiday season in true West Texas style.
