Alpine Animal Services Features Macy as Pet of the Week

Alpine Animal Services has named Macy as this week’s Pet of the Week. Through Sunday, Oct. 26, Macy’s adoption fee is reduced to $50 — half the normal cost. The fee covers spay, heartworm test, microchip, and all vaccinations.

Macy was surrendered to the shelter on Sept. 29 after her owner could no longer keep her. Shelter staff say she has adapted well, enjoys spending time in the yard, and has done well with other dogs.

“Macy can be a little shy with new people, but with not a lot of time, she comes out of her shell and will enjoy a pet and likely lick your hands clean,” the post noted. “When she is tired, she will plop down right in front of you and show you her belly as if to say, ‘Ok, I’m done — rub my belly!’”

Staff believe Macy is likely potty trained and keeps her kennel clean. She enjoys treats, especially peanut butter-filled Kongs.

Macy can be visited at Alpine Animal Services, located at 2900 Old Marathon Hwy, Alpine, TX 79830.
