A new coffee shop and bike shop are under renovation at 103 State St. in Fort Davis, in the building that formerly housed the Jeff Davis County Democratic Party headquarters, according to workers involved in the project.
Construction crews say the building is being divided into two storefronts — with the bike shop on the left and the coffee shop on the right.
The development adds to the growing number of locally owned businesses revitalizing State Street, the main corridor through downtown Fort Davis.
No opening date or business names have been publicly announced.
