Residents of the Big Bend region will have a convenient opportunity to protect themselves against the flu this season at a Free Drive-Thru Flu Vaccine Clinic scheduled for Wednesday, October 1, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The event will take place at the Mexican Consulate, 3019 W. 21 de Marzo Street, Presidio, TX 79845.
The clinic is open to eligible adults and children, with a focus on helping uninsured individuals. Vaccines will be provided at no cost, though organizers note that supplies are limited.
Participants are encouraged to pre-register to ensure availability and reduce wait times. To make the process smoother, attendees should wear loose or sleeveless tops, making it easier for health staff to administer the shots in a drive-thru format.
This cooperative event is supported by the Mexican Consulate in Presidio, the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, and the Texas Department of State Health Services.
