City of Alpine Launching New Utility Billing Portal October 1

The City of Alpine is preparing to roll out an upgraded utility billing system beginning October 1, bringing residents a redesigned billing statement, enhanced payment options, and an all-new online portal.

What’s Changing

The updated paper statements will now include detailed information such as consumption history and past usage trends. Bills will be mailed on white paper in blue envelopes, while past-due notices will be distinguished by pink paper in white envelopes.

Payment deadlines are also emphasized: bills will be due on the 15th of each month, with late notices sent on the 16th. Gas customers will face a 5% penalty for past-due balances.

The New Portal

Alongside the physical statement changes, residents will gain access to a modern online system at alpinecity.epayub.com. Customers will need to re-register using the new account number listed on their bill.

Features include:

  • Quick Pay option without registration
  • The ability to manage multiple accounts under one login
  • Communication preferences management
  • Account termination requests submitted online
  • Phone payments through a new voice system

The city will now also accept debit and credit cards in addition to cash, checks, and money orders at City Hall.

Customer Benefits

Residents will be able to track their usage history, review financial records, and pay more flexibly than before. The city hopes the changes will improve transparency, make payments more convenient, and cut down on confusion about due dates.

The City of Alpine encourages residents to attend the upcoming town hall on September 18 at 5:30 p.m. in City Council Chambers, where staff will walk through the changes and demonstrate the new system.
