The Sul Ross State University Science Seminar Series kicks off this semester with a presentation by Erika Blecha, archaeologist with the Center for Big Bend Studies.
Blecha will speak Thursday, Sept. 18, at 3:30 p.m. in Room 201 of the Warnock Science Building. Her talk, No Bones About It, explores how animal remains from the San Esteban Rockshelter provide insight into past environments and human activity.
The seminar is free and open to the public. A mixer will follow at The Ritchey in downtown Alpine.
