Three members of the Presidio EMS team, along with EMS Chief Troy Sparks, recently completed advanced pediatric emergency training at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso.
The two-day Pediatric Advanced Life Support course prepared staff to respond to critical emergencies in infants and children, including respiratory distress and cardiac arrest. Training took place in a simulation lab designed to replicate real-life scenarios.
Officials said the additional certification strengthens the team’s ability to deliver high-quality care for children and families in the Presidio area.
