Friends of the Ruidosa Church are hosting a community work day on Saturday, Sept. 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to help care for the historic adobe landmark.
Volunteers will assist with tasks including cleaning the church grounds, moving adobe bricks and preparing the site for the group’s annual Community Day.
Organizers recommend bringing layers and sun protection, sturdy footwear and a picnic lunch. Water and snacks will be provided.
“All ages are welcome and there will be plenty to do,” organizers said in the announcement. “Come lend a hand, meet neighbors and be part of preserving this historic space.”
