Native Plant Society Offering $3,000 and $4,000 Scholarships for Sul Ross Students

The Native Plant Society of Texas, Big Bend Chapter, is now accepting applications for the 2025 Patricia Rose Manning Undergraduate Scholarship Award. Two scholarships will be awarded: one for $3,000 and another for $4,000.

The scholarship honors Patty Manning, a longtime grower of native plants in the Big Bend, field botanist, NPSOT member, and co-founder of Twin Sisters Nursery in Alpine.

Eligible applicants must be junior or senior full-time students at Sul Ross State University in Fall 2025, with majors in biology, botany, natural resource conservation, wildlife management, or related fields. Students should be planning a career in Texas native plants or habitat conservation and must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA.
